This is an authentic mid-century Danish area rug produced by Ege Axminster. The piece is made of 100% pure new wool. The dimensions are approximately 4’7″ x 6’7″ (140 cm x 200 cm). Regarding condition, this is a pre-owned vintage item that includes two small areas of fiber loss and some visible discoloration. I do not have information regarding the rug’s history, and I am unsure if the discoloration can be fixed.
Each tiger carpet is made with 100% Tibetan wool that features a higher lanolin content, allowing water to bead on the surface. It’s not hard to see why a hand knotted rug costs more than a machine made or hand tufted rug, isn’t it?.
