This listing is for a Beautiful , Rare Antique and mint Condition Oriental Area Rug / Carpet , Possibly Either an Irish Donegal or a French / Spanish Savonnerie , Measuring 48 inches by 72 inches ( 4 x 6 feet ) overall Not including about 1 inches of Flat Woven Ends tucked under on the two ends, weighing 17.5 lbs net. Very Unique Geometrical design. fantastic Color Palette. The rug is in Fantastic condition with full pile as shown with no faults noted . Pile IS Wool and I think Warp and Weft IS also wool though have not tested warp and weft. It has been soak washed multiple times, last on 9/16/22 by a textile conservator and it is cleaner than it originally was, clean enough to touch face with. Regardless of origin , I consider this rug very rare and one of a kind, like of which you probably won’t see again.
