These are gorgeous handmade rugs from Sardinia using traditional techniques. Measuring 5′ x 8′, they are 85% wool sourced from local sheep, and 15% pure cotton for the warp threads. They are a soft cream color with a vibrant blue for the Diamante Fiorina design, which is a cluster of lilies in a diamond pattern. The artisans use the ancestral “a pibonis” (the grape) technique, with each rug requiring approximately 140 hours of work. Each rug includes a Certificate of Authenticity, and a 16-page color brochure detailing the history and techniques used by the artisans. Each rug is shipped out of Maryland in a canvas carrying case, shipping cost included in sale price, and guaranteed new. Limited inventory of 15 rugs for sale.
